Leon is nine years old and mixed race and his baby brother Jake is white.  After their mother suffers post-natal depression, the boys are taken into care and then separated.  Leon is determined to reunite with his mother and brother but has the challenges of a new family and barriers a little boy can’t deal with.  This uplifting story is set during a time of racial tension in Birmingham UK where Leon finds love and support from unexpected sources.
