Wife Swap is a dramatic, highly entertaining and transformational lifestyle format that reveals what goes on behind closed doors. It gets right to the heart of the way we live now and lifts the lid on the very different choices people make in their domestic environments: how do you spend your money; do you have quality time with your children; who cooks the meals; what food do you eat; do you work long hours or pick the children up from school; do you think it’s important to keep the house clean or is mopping the floor a waste of time?

What happens when two families switch spouses and experience how another family lives? Will it confirm that they’ve got it just right and make them feel grateful for their own family? Or will it be an eye-opener, a major catalyst to convince them to make some long overdue changes when they get back home?

Australia Screentime are producing the revival of Wife Swap Australia for Seven.

In this epic battle of wits, a single brave contestant faces the whole nation who plays against him live, via the show’s dedicated app. Contestant and viewers are all asked the same questions, based on the outcome of unique and outlandish experiments, ranging from everyday science to crazy sport’s dares or spectacular stunts. How many children will it take, to pull a 16 ton truck? For how long can a free diver hold her breath inside a shark tank? What’s the top speed reached by a caravan falling from 50 meter high? The answer is literally anyone’s guess – so everyone in the country can play.

The contestant answers alone, while the average of the viewers’ responses via the app determine the nation’s collective answer. Whoever’s answer is the closest banks the money at stake. But there’s only one way to win the jackpot: be closest to the answer for the final question. Can the contestant out smart everybody else or will a lucky viewer, picked at random among the nation’s app players, claim the winnings for himself?

An elite group of ex-Special Forces soldiers put 30 physically fit civilians through an extraordinary series of physical and psychological tests, each from the real selection process. Physical fitness is just the start – the true test is one of character. ‘Would I want this man alongside me in a war zone?’ is the Special Forces instructors’ all important question. The recruits are cut off from the outside world to eat, sleep and train together. Over 8 days, they are subjected to intense psychological profiling, sleep deprivation, endurance tests and interrogation. But as the recruits’ defences are stripped away, so too are our preconceptions about the qualities needed to be a Special Forces soldier. They’re not interested in the alpha males – the fastest, first of strongest – they’re interested in the quiet strong characters made of the right stuff. Most will reach breaking point and withdraw, but which recruits will be among the few who make it to the end?
