A new ten part satirical comedy podcast comes to BBC Sounds.
Tech Tech Boom is a spoof technology review show, where hosts, Carol and Joe, with their elderly sidekick, Alphonse, embrace all technology with huge enthusiasm whether it be patently pointless and absurd, or deeply sinister.
The podcast, which is being produced by Zeppotron (part of Banijay UK), will star Olga Koch (Mock the Week, Best Newcomer nominee Edinburgh 2018, BBC Radio 4 special ‘Fight’), Huge Davies (Best Newcomer nominee Edinburgh 2019, ITV’s Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, Channel 4’s Harry Hill’s Clubnite) and Greig Johnson (The Mash Report).
From attending glitzy launches for new phone chargers, to reviewing essential apps and platforms that can help user silence the screaming within, to meeting billionaires behind streaming services dedicated to stories about frogs, Carol and Joe are on a mission to review the companies which could change the world…
Olga Koch said: “Tech Tech Boom was written and recorded in lockdown as a silly and goofy satire of the tech world and I can confidently say that we must be at least partially responsible for Elon Musk hosting SNL. Honestly, making it a reality with the team has been a highlight of my comedy career and I’m happy my computer science degree has finally come in handy.”
Episode One of Tech Tech Boom is available to listen to from Wednesday 19th May on BBC Sounds
