Banijay Boost Mentoring Scheme

This is our very own in-house mentoring scheme! At Banijay, we all have valuable insights, learnings and knowledge from our past experiences, both good and bad! We all have diverse styles and ideas that we can harness to assist in developing and encouraging each other at all levels within the company, whether in the day to day activities or looking towards where we want to be in the future.

Our ‘Banijay Boost’ in-house Mentoring scheme is a two-way connection where the more experienced Mentor guides and supports a less experienced Mentee. The Mentee will also be able to provide insight to their Mentor on how to improve the company and perhaps provide a different perspective on audiences viewing interests and what inspires them.

Work Experience

We offer 40, centrally funded, two-week work experience placements per year. These are paid placements (at the current London living wage) and are allocated primarily to those who have come to us on their own initiative and who do not have pre-existing connections.

12 Month High Potential Talent Contract

During 2021 and 2022 Banijay UK is offering 10+ high potential talents from under represented groups a 12 month contract to help develop their skills and progress their careers.

From across both production and editorial, the identified high potential talent will be offered the following:

  • Sponsored by a host label within the group each individual will be offered a 12 month Banijay UK
    contract with an initial production role.
  • Any gaps in production will be spent in development with suitable roles being actively sought in other
    appropriate labels during the 12 months to ensure the maximum exposure and opportunity across
    production.
  • We anticipate at least 2 production credits and the opportunity to “step up” during the course of the year.
  • An individual pot of £5,000 to fund bespoke and industry training including a professional work coach. Any specific training aspirations to be agreed with each individual and their in house mentor.
  • Industry mentor  (either a commissioner or programme finance manager)
  • In house mentor  (either MD or CD or HOP within host label)
  • Networking events will be co ordinated during the contract term to ensure all identified high potentials have the opportunity to meet other senior execs from across the Banijay family.
  • Rate will be commensurate with the specific production grade as agreed at the beginning of the term.
