Internationally renowned chef, Jeremy Pang, is heading back to ITV for a culinary adventure through the streets of Hong Kong for a brand-new six-part series, created in partnership with the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
Produced by Electric Robin (part of Banijay UK), Jeremy Pang’s Hong Kong Kitchen is the latest chapter in the career of the much-loved and hugely popular chef, Jeremy Pang.
In the series, due to broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX on Saturdays in March, Jeremy jets off to the culinary capital of Asia. But he won’t be going alone. There will be a celebrity guest in tow for each episode, all who have never visited Hong Kong. The famous faces joining him are television presenter, actress and writer Mel Giedroyc; television presenter and chef Simon Rimmer; food critic Grace Dent; TV personality Tom Skinner; television presenter Chris Bavin; plus cook and author Nisha Katona.
Jeremy Pang’s Hong Kong Kitchen will follow Jeremy and friends around the great city, delving into the heart of Cantonese culture and its gastronomy. They’re not there to simply scratch the surface, but to delve deep and reveal truly authentic emotional human stories and connections with food, plus meet the people who have played a key part in shaping Hong Kong’s gastronomical landscape.
Jeremy Pang said:
“Hong Kong Kitchen isn’t just a new food programme, it has been a personal dream to present a show in the city that was essentially my second home when growing up. Having the opportunity to show the world the true colours of Hong Kong has been so much fun. I felt so honoured to host the celebrity guests who joined me on the adventure; each of whom I really shared personal moments with and created memories that will stay with me forever.“
Leanne Clarke, Assistant Commissioner Daytime & Entertainment ITV added:
“Jeremy Pang, working alongside the Hong Kong Tourism Board, brings the ITV audience an exceptionally authentic flavour of the region in this brand new cookery series for Saturday mornings, this spring on ITV1 and ITVX – with a dash of celebrity sparkle for extra good measure.”
