Casting for new series of Deal Or No Deal open
Casting for the new series of hit ITV show, Deal or No Deal, is now open. For anyone who thinks they have what it takes to beat The Banker, applications are here – www.dealornodealtv.co.uk
A second series of the Stephen Mulhern presented show was recently announced, following a highly successful return to screens last year.
The critically acclaimed series reached close to a staggering 14 million viewers (13.7m) across all devices and has been streamed 5 million times. Deal or No Deal was up +38% on the slot average.
The commission sees Deal or No Deal return with four celebrity specials. Produced by Remarkable Entertainment (a Banijay UK company) contestants open the iconic red boxes as they try to win a life-changing cash prize, in a nail-biting game of nerves and intuition. But standing in their way is the Banker ready to unnerve, entice and outwit our players.
With tensions running high in the studio, who will have what it takes to beat the Banker?
Cat Lawson, Joint MD of Remarkable Entertainment, said:
“Deal or no Deal is one of those really special projects which reflects all the off-screen fun, on-screen. Working with Stephen Mulhern is pure joy, and we look forward to watching him and more brave members of the public take on the dreaded banker. Sadly, we can’t guarantee the banker will ever be fun!”
Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment commissioning at ITV added:
“We are delighted the ITV viewers loved the new series Deal or No Deal, it was a triumphant return for this thoroughly enjoyable game show. It’s a fantastic format that is both heart-warming and captivating and with Stephen at the helm it’s the perfect combination.”
Deal or No Deal is commissioned by Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning and Joe Mace, Commissioning Editor, Entertainment, ITV. The executive producers are Tamara Gilder and Cat Lawson, joint MDs of Remarkable Entertainment (a Banjay UK company).
Deal or No Deal first launched in 2002 in the Netherlands. It has been commissioned in over 80 territories worldwide with more than 350 productions. Deal or No Deal is a Banijay-owned format.
