Led by Donna Mulvey-Jones, brand new facilities launch in London and Glasgow post doubles capacity

Banijay UK is increasing its in house post production capabilities with the launch of brand-new team and facilities in London, the doubling of capacity in Glasgow and the continued investment in Manchester.

Initially focused on unscripted production, the resources are available to all Banijay UK businesses, allowing for greater streamlining of workflows and closer integration with new technology and innovation in post. Banijay UK in house post facilities, labelled B Post, now offer over 25 cutting rooms, 4 onlines / grade suites, 4 audio suites and podcasting studios across the UK.

Banijay UK Post Production is led Donna Mulvey-Jones who was appointed earlier this year as Director of Post Production, Banijay UK.

With over 20 years’ experience in the television industry, Donna was most recently at Netflix where she set up and led the non-fiction post-production teams in both Los Angeles and the UK. Prior to this Donna established and managed multiple in-house post-production facilities forAll3MediaandFremantle, operating across several sites and specialising in unscripted post.

In London, Donna will be supported by newly appointed roles of Head of Technical Operations, Ben Keable, and Senior Post Producer, Kate George alongside a growing team.

Ben was previously Director of Operations at halo Post Group, and has held senior management positions at halo, Evolutions, Molinare, and Visual Data Media Services. Kate has over 30 years post production experience working at Molinare and ENVY, amongst others.

In Glasgow Gavin Wilson has been promoted to Head of Technical Operations, and joined by new hires Jenny Bruce, Post Producer, Rachel Clark, Online Editor, and David Mercer, Senior Edit Support – all from local post house Edit 123.

Banijay UK has existing post-production operations in Manchester under label Workerbee, led by Keren Aarons.  Keren is also now supporting the wider B Post UK operation and working on future expansion and consolidation plans in the region.

Sarb Nijjer, Chief Operating Officer, Banijay UK said;

“It’s a hugely exciting time for post production as AI, cloud editing and other technological advancements drive innovation in the sector. Investing in our capabilities, providing the right tech and the right people and putting post facilities at the heart of Banijay is an important step.”

Donna Mulvey-Jones said;

“Post is not a ‘later’ stage anymore, or a bolt-on service – we’re simply part of production. For a production company, bringing capability in-house just makes sense; it gives us control of the foundations and ensures we’re building workflows that are flexible for the future and on our own timelines. We’ll absolutely continue partnering with the fantastic post houses we rely on – but the industry is under pressure, technology is advancing fast, and it’s important for us to stay relevant in how we work.”
